Historic Hiroshima-Home to Two World Heritage Site

Hiroshima, said to be the epitome of Japan, the scenic Seto Inland Sea to the south and mountainous Chugoku region to the north. Not only blessed with a beautiful natural environment, it also has a pleasant temperate climate year-round.
Hiroshima, home to two World Heritage sites - the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Itsukushima Shrine - has something to offer all year round. Residents and visitors can enjoy the breathtaking cherry blossoms in the spring, swimming and marine sports in the summer, vibrantly colored maple leaves in autumn and skiing in winter. The unique local cuisine prepared with treasures from the surrounding waters and mountains is yet another of Hiroshima’s many attractions.
